Class Description:
One two hour class that meets one time.
This L.E.A.N.
Essentials is a class based on the LEAN Start Course material.
It was designed to provide an introductory class for parents who
either do not want to commit to a 6-week nutrition course or who are
uncertain about the concepts taught in the full program.
It is a comprehensive
2 hour prevention plan to help
children reach their optimal level in the four pillars of health.
These four areas work together to make families healthier—at any age
and any stage of life.
• Lifestyle - how you live
• Exercise - how you move
• Attitude - how you think
• Nutrition - how you eat
The
L.E.A.N. Start course is based upon scientific research and
designed by Dr. William Sears, "America's pediatrician," and
best-selling author as well as other experts in the field of
children's nutrition, health and fitness.
What to Expect:
A L.E.A.N.
Essentials class is a one time class and is designed to take no more
than 2-hours. As your coach I will lead participants through a
fast paced and highly interactive session using the LEAN Essentials
Booklet as your guide. I
will be available
during the course and after for any questions and follow-up help.

the classes. Hosted
by best selling author and renowned pediatrician, Dr. William Sears,
you will learn interesting and practical nutrition & healthy living
tips that you can begin using right away.
Each one of the six
segments/classes correlates with a session in the
L.E.A.N. Start Parent’s Guide and a variety of vignettes that
bring the topics to life.

What to Bring to
Class:
Pen or pencil to
write with, highlighter can be helpful, notebook or writing pad and
a folder to keep your class note for the 6 weeks of handouts.
